Here is to hoping you have had a pleasingly stuffed Thanksgiving. No pun intended. As you have bid good-bye to all the festivities from the holiday, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, it’s back to the grind of schoolwork and exams. And of course, the endless anticipation of winter break so you can finally catch up on sleep and long-john comforts.

Truly, I would be the last person to get in the way of a hard-working (and possibly deranged) college student and their rendezvous with a plush bed, but winter break is an opportunity for more than unhealthy sleep schedules.

It’s an opportunity to dedicate some time to internship stuff (and other holiday stuffing.. no pun intended).

Here, I have listed five well-recognized organizations that offer internship positions to college students.

  • Apple Inc. I don’t think I need to provide an introduction on this company, but just in case that is the instance. Apple is an multinational consumer electronics corporation most notably known for its Mac computers, iPhones, iTunes, etc. Apple offers internships during the summer and/or the academic year encompassing various majors: IT, communications, wellness, marketing, software, finance, etc. Click here to check out their website for a list of current openings.
  • Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress (CSPC). This organization aims to bridge the connection between the Executive and Legislative branches of government to generate strategic solutions our current national challenges. CSPC offers internships during the summer and/or academic year. The internship positions are open to all majors from business to journalism to international relations, but you must demonstrate a keen interest in the Presidency and U.S. government policy.
